Gemma Offline Translator
Built by Shashwath, Alan K. Y., Alexander Chen and Dan Motzenbecker
An open-source Raspberry Pi appliance that runs Google Gemma locally for fully offline speech translation.
Maker story
A Google Creative Lab team built a self-contained translator around Gemma and Raspberry Pi, using Google Antigravity during development. Its screen, microphone, speaker and physical controls make local speech translation feel like a dedicated handheld instrument instead of a web app.
