Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EasyCircuit ("EasyCircuit", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use easycircuit.app, the EasyCircuit editor and Copilot, our store, and related services (the "Services"). By using the Services you acknowledge this policy. Our Terms of Service also apply.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash), or the identity details a third-party sign-in provider shares with us when you choose to sign in that way.

Your content. Prompts and messages you send to the Copilot and the responses it generates, circuit designs, schematics, wiring, parts lists, firmware, project names, files, photos, and feedback you submit.

Order information. Contact details, shipping address, and order history when you buy from our store. Payments are handled by our payment processors. We do not store full card numbers.

Usage and device information. Pages viewed, clicks and other interactions, session replays of how you use our pages, IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from IP address, referring pages, errors, logs, and records of how the Copilot generated, validated, and repaired a design.

Communications. Emails and support requests you send us.

2. How we use information

• To provide the Services: create and save your designs, generate Copilot responses, firmware, and build guides, and process and ship orders.
• To support you and communicate with you about your account, orders, and changes to the Services.
• To keep the Services safe: prevent fraud and abuse, debug failures, and enforce our terms.
• To improve the Services, including testing, research, analytics, product development, and developing, evaluating, and training the models, tools, and features that power EasyCircuit.
• To comply with law and protect our rights and the rights of others.

3. AI model providers

The Copilot uses third-party AI model providers. To answer a request, we send your prompt, relevant design context, and conversation history to those providers, and their responses come back to us. Their handling of that data is governed by their own terms. We choose providers for quality and cost and may change them over time.

4. How we share information

Service providers. We share information with companies that perform services for us, such as hosting, AI model processing, payment processing, order fulfillment and shipping, email delivery, analytics, and customer support. They may use it only to provide those services to us.

At your direction. When you ask us to share something, for example by sending a share link or requesting a parts kit.

Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of EasyCircuit, our users, or others.

Business transfers. If EasyCircuit is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, or sale of all or part of its assets, information we hold, including your content, may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity as part of that transaction or in preparing for it. The recipient will be bound to use personal information consistent with this policy, unless you agree otherwise.

De-identified and aggregated information. We may create de-identified or aggregated information from the information we collect, including from prompts, designs, and Copilot interactions, by removing or transforming details that identify you or your account. We may use and share de-identified or aggregated information with third parties for any lawful purpose, including research, benchmarking, and developing, training, and licensing datasets and AI models. When we do, we take reasonable measures to ensure the information cannot reasonably be linked to you, we maintain and use it only in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it, and we contractually require recipients not to re-identify it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. De-identified information as described above is not personal information.

5. Your designs

Your designs live in your own workspace and are not shown to other users unless you choose to share them.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and analytics tools, including session replay, to understand how people use the Services and where they get stuck. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Services may stop working. Our Services do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

7. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, then for as long as reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution purposes. Some logs are short-lived. Backups expire on a rolling basis. When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or de-identify it. De-identified and aggregated information may be kept indefinitely.

8. Your choices and rights

You can update your account details in the Services. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents have these rights under California law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them. To make a request, email contact@easycircuit.app from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

9. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Users under 18 should use the Services with a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security and international transfers

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We store and process information in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, give notice through the Services or by email. Material changes apply to information collected after they take effect. Information collected before a change continues to be handled under the commitments in effect when it was collected unless you agree otherwise.
